Two Augmented Reality Tour Applications for All at the Musée de Sorèze

The Abbey School of Sorèze, located in the south of the Tarn region, is a place steeped in history and culture. Thanks to an augmented reality tour application, a multimedia audioguide and the Les As de la Jungle application developed and enhanced by OHRIZONyou can discover this exceptional site in a fun and immersive way.
1- An augmented reality tour application for a captivating immersive story
In the footsteps of first pupil Dom Devic
One of the most captivating applications is the Dom Devic augmented reality tour application. Dom Devic was the first student at the Sorèze school, and his fascinating story is at the heart of this application. As you follow in Dom Devic's footsteps, you'll be plunged into a captivating adventure where you'll have to solve games, customized riddles and interpretive puzzles in each room, to help him recover his memory.
Thanks to augmented reality, you'll be able to see Dom Devic come to life before your very eyes, and interact with him along the way.
As the tour progresses, we learn the identity of its owner Dom Devic, the Abbey's first student, who takes the family on a voyage of discovery! Using the ghost of Dom Devic gives access to a character who has lived through all eras, which is practical from a narrative and mediation point of view.

A wide range of interactions for enriched mediation
The adventure combines observation games with physical mediation (comparisons, deductions, etc.), animations and augmented reality experiments to discover the history of the school, its pedagogy, daily life, the geographical origins of its students and more.
Traditionally, in their graduation year, students would leave a trace of their schooling. The first graffiti dates back to the 19th century and was created by sculptors. Later, the students themselves engraved their names on the soft sandstone. The quality of the graffiti varies from period to period, depending on how long it took to be completed. To preserve this tradition, visitors are invited to find Dom Devic's digital graffiti at the end of the tour.
An educational and entertaining augmented reality tour application
The Dom Devic app is not only entertaining, it also offers an educational experience. At every stage of your journey, you'll discover interesting information about the history of the abbey and school, as well as the famous pupils who have left their mark on French history. The app is perfectly suited to children, and is an excellent way of making a visit to the Sorèze Abbey School even more exciting and interactive.
The application also supports people with disabilities. For example, the application offers videos in French Sign Language (LSF) to open up the museum to as many people as possible!
2- Les As de la Jungle app for youngsters

Another exciting application to discover during your visit to the Abbaye-école de Sorèze is the Les As de la Jungle application. This app is aimed primarily at children, and takes them on an adventure in the company of the characters from Les As de la jungle, a famous cartoon broadcast on France Télévision. Thanks to this application, children can explore the Musée Dom Robert in a fun and interactive way, solving riddles and taking part in interactive games.
When there's a problem to solve or an injustice to right in the jungle, don't worry: just send the Jungle Aces signal and they'll come to the rescue!
The Aces of the Jungle app offers a captivating and entertaining experience for young visitors. It combines augmented reality with interactive elements to create a memorable visit. Children accompany their favorite characters, Maurice the tiger penguin, Miguel the blue gorilla, Gilbert the tarsier and Batricia the bat, to solve a great mystery and discover the museum in a totally unique way!
