Castillo de Manzanares El Real

Manzanares El Real Castle is no longer haunted by the Catholic Monarchs of Castile. Instead, Madrid Castle offers fun, augmented tours.

3D for heritage discovery

Numerous 3D characters, reconstructions and a tour game bring self-guided tours to life, with the help of the new augmented reality cultural mediation application.

A 15th-century discovery

The managers of Manzanares el Real Castle aim to make it a reference center for 15th century life. The application is entirely dedicated to the discovery of this era. It offers schools educational tours on the theme of the historical transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. A great deal of work has been carried out with the château's educational teams and schools to adapt the content and themes to Spanish school objectives.

Visitors are free to choose between different types of itinerary ("I'm the hero" tours with augmented reality, school visits, self-guided tours...). The dungeon and surrounding area are reconstructed using 3D augmented reality, and a wealth of multimedia content enriches and illustrates the discovery of Madrid Castle.
