OHRIZON and the Chambre Régionale d'Agriculture de Bretagnereceived the INNOV'SPACE 2022 for their DIGIKERG group training solution.
DIGIKERG was developed on the basis of the SMART TOGETHER solution, designed to make training courses and group visits more dynamic.

DIGIKERG is a digital, interactive and fun tool integrating innovative technologies from
training. It gives groups of farmers, advisors or students the chance to experience something new, thanks to a unique and innovative set-up in the context of an experimental station.
Each participant is given a tablet that enables him or her to take part in the following activities
and professional games. The first version of this training course, focusing on agroecology, includes over 100 activities, divided into 9 themes, to discover the trials and innovations carried out by Brittany's Chambers of Agriculture at the Kerguéhennec agronomy station. Thanks to the tablets' 360° function, it's even possible to immerse yourself in the evolution of crops over the seasons!
Register your group, choose 3 or 4 themes, and enjoy a lively exchange of ideas that will lead to concrete lessons to be developed on the farm. The solution adopted is easy to use in situ, i.e. in the field, as well as in the classroom and off-site.
DIGIKERG integrates the new SMART TOGETHER solution and serves the agricultural world, no longer in the act of production, but in training and knowledge transfer. It opens up a new era in the adoption of agro-ecology.
In fact, an innovative image-based tool is in line with the very nature of consulting in
agroecology, which relies above all on observation of the environment to better understand and make decisions.
This apprenticeship reaches a public of growers, young people in training and prescribers.
The advisor at the heart of the system
It's clear that farmers want to move forward with the evolution of their business through group questioning, discussion and sharing.

The activities developed in DIGIKERG are both playful and interactive, allowing you to fully embrace this approach. I
An LMS for managing content and experiences
DIGIKERG is an educational and experiential solution consisting of an application for
tablets on the one hand, and a content and experience creation manager on the other. Thus, during their learning experience, the trainer and participants are each equipped with a tablet.
DIGIKERG offers them both :
-
An innovative teaching aid with over 100 modules and interactive activities,
-
Access to activities that encourage everyone to participate,
-
An "à la carte", evolving program, adapted to the needs of the group,- Assessment of skills acquired, during and after the program,
-
Immersive, geolocated access to crop developments, all year round and without an Internet connection,
-
An exemplary modularity offering an infinite number of adaptations and the creation of new activities and training courses, not only at Kerguéhennec but throughout Brittany.
DIGIKERG can be used with or without the Internet, a considerable advantage when the session takes place in the field, without an Internet connection. The content of activities and themes can be modified independently and without technical intervention. The trainer has full control over content management on the learners' tablets, thanks to the LMS (Learning Management System) provided by OHRIZON.
Real-time evaluation of participants enables the trainer to adapt the training course
as required.
Participants will be able to enjoy the technology in augmented reality, thanks to digital documents for added immersion. The LMS enables Kerguéhennec station to add and modify training content such as 360° photos, videos, slideshows and geolocated training courses.
What are the benefits for the user?
-
On-site visits become possible and remain relevant throughout the year. The notion of season disappears.
-
Users are completely autonomous when it comes to implementing their visit or training session, since the technology developed does not require a network.
-
All educational content is already downloaded onto the tablets. Thanks to this autonomy, users can use the tool in a wide range of professional situations, with virtually no limits: for a visit to a station, as part of a classroom training course, as part of a "field trip" to a farmer...
-
The user chooses the various activities according to the audience. A common base is provided by the "main" activities. These provide an initial approach to the topic. For a more demanding, more technical audience, there is the option of using so-called secondary resources, which will enable the subject to be explored in greater depth.
-
Users can build learning paths on any theme, using a server to manage data and sample activities. Updating data is another important element in the tool's ability to keep pace with rapid obsolescence.
What are the benefits for the learner group?
The result is a genuine learning experience. It has been proven that we retain between 85% and 100% of what we experience (as opposed to only 30% of what we read). With DIGIKERG, a group dynamic is created, with all participants remaining active throughout the experience, from start to finish. Finally, the trainer retains control over the tempo and choice of pedagogical activities. Each session is designed with a beginning and an end, including a group photo, and intermediate activities are adapted to the group's dynamics.
Finally, DIGIKERG encourages alternating activities that call on all the senses: movement through the fields and the different areas of the experimental farm, reading, tactile activities, gestures, reflections, immersion with the evolving views of the crops, and finally the spoken word through dynamic exchanges between users.
Oral quizzes, for example, give everyone a chance to have their say. They encourage everyone to take part, and the trainer gets an immediate response. The reward is both personal and collective, strengthening bonds of belonging and cohesion.
group.
In view of the success and enthusiastic reception of DIGIKERG, OHRIZON and the Chambre régionale
d'agriculture de Bretagne have decided to market the application and teaching modules to other agricultural training organizations in France and abroad.
What impact will this have on the Chamber of Agriculture?
The Chambers of Agriculture had no digital tool for visiting their experimental stations. It's a real innovation and a new way of working. Prior to the introduction of DIGIKERG, station visits were organized in the traditional way, using paper or panels for specific open days.
DIGIKERG puts technological innovation at the service of agro-ecology for greater immersion. Statistical results integrated into the solution provide visibility on training evaluation and evolution. The possibility of mobility is a major advantage over traditional methods, as participants can move around the experimental station while discovering the different experimental set-ups.
